TIRANA, Feb. 6 – The United States of America is exploring the possibility of the application of Liquified Natural Gas in Central and Eastern Europe, which Albania may also become a part of. During the Conference ‘On Liquid Gas Technology’ held on Wednesday, the US Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim discussed the opportunities for Albanian citizens to have cheaper access, cleaner fuel and more sustainable power in their homes through the LNG.

EU and EBRD to boost renewable energy in Ukraine, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union have agreed a new €50 million programme of financial guarantees aimed at scaling up investment in renewable energy in Ukraine and in the EU’s Southern Neighbourhood with a particular focus on Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia, which will benefit from wind and solar energy expansion, the EBRD said on 22 January.
